Once there lived a girl about fourteen years old. Her name is Orange Wood, the daughter of Cedar Wood. Orange has her own General Store. Her mom gave her the store when she was twelve years old. Orange use her money to help her mom pay for her school. Orange's old school is called Frogwarts Middle School. But she transferred to a new school because Orange and her mother didn't really like her old school. Now she goes to Sunniemaly Academy. On her first day, four girls walked up to her and said they have something really important to tell her.
Those girls were Bloomy White, Srina Beauty, Stormy
Queen, and Lucy Hatter. Bloomy White is the daughter of Apple White, Srina
Beauty is the daughter of Briar Beauty, Stormy Queen is the daughter of Raven
Queen, and Lucy Hatter is the daughter of Madeline Hatter. They were actually
going to insult Orange about her style and that she's a new girl. But when they
said that they rather wear a trash bag then her clothes, Orange smiled and gave
them all trash bags and said that they might really look cute wearing that.
After that, the four of them went back to their lockers.
Orange stared at her new and empty locker. "Maybe I
should put a small mirror on the door, my class schedule, and my books on the
top shelf. While on the bottom shelf, my bag and jacket. Now, what would the
password be? I know! The day when mom gave me my own General Store. It was on
May fourteenth two thousand and twelve. That's 1452012. Done. Now I can go to
class." Orange said and ran to class.
After all of her classes, she ate her lunch. After she
ate her lunch, there were twenty more minutes before lunch period is over, so
she went to her locker, grab a book, and started reading it. "The Candy
Shop War, by Brandon Mull. Prologue: John Dart. The airport shuttle squeaked to
a stop in the parking lot of Leslie's Diner. The generic building looked like
hundreds of other cheap restaurants where you could get breakfast all day.
Judging from the outdated exterior and the heavyset man in the window attacking
a syrupy waffle, John..." Orange muttered to herself.
But because she was looking at her novel the whole time,
she didn't see her way around. Then someone accidentally bumped into her.
"Oh... Sorry. We didn't see you. We were rushing to the library. We are
Library Shelving Assistants, or, LSAs." said one of them with purple hair.
"Yeah. By the way, I'm Strawberry Ella, daughter of Ashlyn Ella and this
is my friend, Plum Hood. She's the daughter of Cerise Hood." said the
other girl with red hair.
"It's okay. I'm Orange. I'm new here and I don't
really know the way of the kids here. Do you know that two girls in this school
rather wear trash bags then regular clothes? Then I gave them both trash bags
to wear. Those two were so weird." Orange said. "Well nice chatting
with you guys, but I don't want you guys to be late to the library."
Orange replied while picking up her novel.
"Okay.
Well, bye." Plum said waving her hand. Then she placed her novel on the
top shelf of her locker and she headed to class. In her Biology class, she sat
in the same table as some guy. "Hi. Are you new here? I'm Ryan Huntsman.
Son of Hunter Huntsman. What's your name?" he asked "My name is
Orange Wood. And yes, I'm new in this school. What are we learning today?"
Orange asked.
"Krebs
Cycle. We’re having a test next week, so you might need to take notes."
Ryan said "Okay." Orange replied. After class, it was time for gym
class. Once again, she was in the same class as Ryan Huntsman. She was also in
the same class as Bloomy White, Srina Beauty, Stormy Queen, Lucy Hatter, Plum
Hood, and Strawberry Ella. Today in gym class, they were having archery in a
wide field not far from the school.
"Okay,
kids! Today were having archery here. Now, everyone grab a bow and the arrows
so we can start." their gym teacher said to them. "Archery?! I hate
this! I will sure get a splinter." Bloomy huffed to her friends. The four
of them agreed not to do it, but their teacher said if they don’t do archery,
they’ll have detention. Everyone in that class tried to hit the targets, but
they always miss. But when it was Orange's turn, she hit every target.
"Okay, that's an A+ for you miss Wood. As for the rest of you, all Fs! But
with practice, you will be good as miss Orange Wood."
After gym
class, Orange agreed to Plum and Strawberry for a sleepover at her house this
week after school on Friday, since next week is Spring Break. The week passed
quickly and it was Friday. Strawberry and Plum brought a bag of their clothes
to school so they don't need to go home and get their clothes. After school,
the three of them walked out of the school.
"So,
which way to your house? Left? Right?" Plum asked "50 inches to the
North, half a meter to the West and 60 cm to the South. My house is around the
corner." Orange answered "Huh? How are we going to know which way
were going like that?" Strawberry asked "Just use my compass."
Orange said. Her watch can open, and under her watch was her compass. They
walked to Orange's house by fowling which way the compass pointed.
After a while,
they reached a giant mansion. The mansion was painted purple and brown. It was
detailed with smooth and polished wood grained finish frames at the doors,
widows, hand rails, and across the roof. There were flower beds near the porch
was filled with tulips all sorts of colors. They entered the mansion, and saw a
sixteen year old teenage girl in the living room. That teenager was Orange's
older sibling, Splinter. Splinter smiled and waved at Orange. "Hi, Orange.
Have fun with your sleepover." she said "We will." Orange
replied with a smile.
Orange led her
friends to her room. Her room is in the basement and it is huge. She has an
antic-style bathroom, her walk-in closet has a wood grain finish everywhere and
an air freshener that smells like morning dew with a hint of lavender. Her
window has an antic looking window sit. And her bed is also a wood grain finish
and her bedding is antic-styled. But even her antic-styled bedroom has a hint
of modern. She has a flat screen TV, laptop, iPhone, iPad, Mp3 Player, and
stereo. Since the room is so big and that she has a really soft carpet, her
friends can sleep in her room.
After
Strawberry and Plum set out their sleeping bags on the soft carpet, the took a
shower and put on their Pj's, since it was already 5.30 P.M. and Orange set
some snacks and also change into her Pj's. They sat in the room, watching
Orange's movie playlist while eating snacks. "This slumber party is so
fun!" Plum said to Orange "Slumber party? Isn't this a
sleepover?" Orange asked.
"Orange,
'slumber party' is another way of saying sleepover. Because, you know, we have
a lot of fun and go to sleep pretty late, kindda like a party." Strawberry
explained. "Ooohhh...
Now I understand." Orange said. Then she took a sip of her milkshake and
she ran upstairs. Her friends ran after her, but when they were upstairs, they
couldn't find her.
