The Unlucky Day at School! - Part 2

Amber doodled on a pad of paper in the middle of science class. Her pencil flew across the blank paper until it wasn't so blank. She had drew a silhouette of three figures - two boys, one girl - in an open area, dark clouds covered the sun, and strange wisps around them.

She sighed. She flipped through the other pages. For some odd reason, she drew the exact same drawing every time, four times in a row. Weird... She glanced out the window, and almost screamed.

A shadowy figure of a young boy stood outside, staring straight at her, a clear message in his eyes; HELP ME.

But when she blinked, he was gone.

"Wait, you saw what?" Susan Evans asked, as she walked home with Amber back from school.

"How many times do I have to say it, Susan?  A. Freaking. Ghost! That's what's I saw, kay? Is it so hard to understand?"

Susan backed away, raising her eyebrows. "Have you been taking your medicine?"

Amber straightened. She turned to the auburn haired girl, wild look in her eyes. She may a little hyper sometimes, she'll admit, but she hates it when people think she really has gone mad. "What did you say, Susan?"

"Err..."

Amber seized her collar and looked her in the eyes. "Look at me! Do I look I've gone berserk?" She pushed her away and stomped away angrily, leaving a relieved Susan. Amber arrived at home, unlocked the door, and flung her bag on the sofa.

Mom and dad are out, she thought. Greaaat....

Josh ran down the stairs, apparently after a shower, because he was wearing his favorite Star Wars shorts backwards, his shirt was crooked, and his hair was soaking wet. "Hi, Amby!"

"Hey, Josh." she mumbled, messing his up his wet hair. "What'd ya up to?"

He showed her his game pad to her face, various blaster noises reaching her ears. "I leveled up on Lego Star Wars, Chapter 6! Isn't that cool?"

"Er... Sure?"

Josh giggled to himself and flopped on the sofa, eyes glued to his screen. Amber sat down beside him, digging around her bag for her laptop. After the weird ghost earlier, there was something she wanted to look up. Once she found it, she turned it on and type hastily. The information she's looking for pops up.

"The place near the school..." she mumbled, scrolling through the add. "Been opened since 1838, this place is known as the city's underground," Her eyes widened in shock when she read the final word. "ASYLUM?"

"The Filii Clauditis Asylum was an underground asylum opened by Romulius Furorem, from Rome. This man used to be one of the craziest man in his town, but after recovering his sanity, he decided to help others around him to recover as well. He came to this area because it use to have a high amount of cases. He built this asylum and it was quite famous. But little did people know, this man still hasn't recover all of his sanity."

"After the first year, the people of the area started to notice their children disappearing. The police started to search the case. One day, a young girl was found lying in a dirty alley, blood seeping from her dress. The people around brought her to a hospital, but after a few hours, she passed away. But she didn't waste her time. Before she died, she told the doctors and people around her a horrifying tale, one that was nearly impossible to be experienced by a child such as herself-"

Then Amber noticed Josh leaning close, looking at her screen. "What'cha readin'?"

Amber quickly closed her laptop. "Homework!" she quickly peeped. "History homework! Lots of it."

Josh pouted, but left the sofa, going back to his room. Amber glanced at her laptop, then she opened her Skype. She found the people she was searching. "Hey, guys. Ya free on Friday?"

Jason started his laptop, and found that someone was calling his Skype. He clicked it, and he came face to face - virtually - with a brown haired girl. "Amber?"

"TGI Friday, Jace!" she greeted. "You remembered what I asked you two days ago right? On Skype?"

"Yeah, I remembered. You got Mr. Annoying Face online too, right?"

"I'm calling, he hasn't - Oh wait! Here he is." Another screen popped up, the face of a black haired, glasses wearing boy on it. "Sup, dork."

"Shut up!" Greg snapped. "Why are we here again?"

"Remember when you told us about that weird place you told us the other day?" Jason asked. Greg nodded. "Well, Amber here says she found something creepy."

"Reeeaally?" Greg frowned. "Well it better be good, cause I was watching a movie."

Amber sighed. "When are you not? Anyway, here's what I-"

"Wait a second."

Amber growled. "What is now, Greg?"

"Why aren't ya wearing you're glasses?"

Jason gaped at his friend while Amber face palmed herself and groaned in annoyance. "I don't wear them all the time, idiot. Like, not at home! So get used to it." She glared at Greg, taunting him to deny her. "Any other questions?"

"Yeah, why are you so annoying? Or why is every girl this annoying."

Amber rolled her eyes. "Maybe you're so clueless!"

Then, did the two of them notice Jason snickering in the background. "Dude, why are you smiling?" Greg suspiciously asked.

"Ship...." Jason smirked, making a heart with his hands. "Ambeg moments! Or is it Gramber?"

"DUDE!" Greg snapped at him, Amber giving him her death stare from another screen. Jason laughed loudly seeing the both of them.

"Jason," Amber threatened. "Don't you dare make me pull a Genocide Run on you."

Jason's laughter subsided, he made a 'go on' gesture with his hand. "Okay, sorry. Now, what are you going to show us again?"

Amber typed hastily on her laptop. "I found this really interesting website about that place Greg told us. Last I read, a girl was dying and before she did, she told the doctors a 'horrifying tale, one that was nearly impossible to be experienced by a child such as herself' or something."

"Wait, dying? What does that have to do with this?"

"The building Greg told us. It's called The Filii Clauditis Asylum. Plus, it's an underground asylum."

"A what?" Jason gaped at her.

"An asylum." Greg repeated, his face covered in shock. "Our school is just blocks away from a century old asylum?"

"A century and seventy-eight years actually." Amber confirmed. "And here is why I said the girl was connected. One, a year after asylum opened, children started disappearing. Two, she was one of the missing children. Three, the asylum's name."

"What about it?"

"Did you know Filii Clauditis is literally Latin for Children Lock? So the place is literally called The Children Lock Asylum."

Greg covered his eyes with his palm. "Since when did you turn into Sherlock Homes?"

Jason, however, seemed unfazed. "You've been watching a lot of Gravity Falls again, haven't you?"

Amber smiled apologetically."Yeah. What's your point?"

"So, sure, that is interesting. So what now?"

Amber's smile faded. "I was saving the rest to read to the three of us at the same time." Greg and Jason nodded at her, and she continued, "Who's ready to unveil this mystery? And are you ready to hear the horrifying tale of this dying girl?"
